Isolation information for positive patient

If the result is positive, the patient should be isolated for 10 days and has to follow following steps:

1. Patient should call the Dubai Health Authority’s hotline 800342 for further advice, the 10-day duration starts from symptom onset (in symptomatic patients where symptom onset date is known) or from date of the first positive PCR test (date of test conducted and not the date of results reported) in asymptomatic patients or those with symptoms but symptom onset date is not clear.
2. Home isolation entails that a patient should stay at home and avoid contact with others. Also, the patient should abide by all precautionary measures and the guidelines to ensure the protection of household members until the 10-day isolation period is over
3. Monitoring of symptoms and constant check of temperature. If the patient’s symptoms became serious (e.g. shortness of breath at rest or difficulty in breathing or fever), he/she should call DHA’s hotline (800342) or the ambulance at 997. The patient should inform the hotline that he/she is a COVID-19 patient and is undergoing home isolation.

إذا كانت النتيجة إيجابية ، يجب عزل المريض لمدة 10 يومًا وإتباع الخطوات التالية:

1. للحصول على مزيد من النصائح, يجب على المريض الإتصال بالخط الساخن لهيئة الصحة بدبي 800342. تبدأ المدة التي تبلغ 10 يومًا من بداية ظهور الأعراض (في المرضى الذين يعانون من أعراض حيث يكون تاريخ ظهور الأعراض معروفًا) أو من تاريخ أول إختبار إيجابي لـ PCR (تاريخ الإختبار الذي تم القيام به وليس تاريخ النتائج المُبلغ عنها) في المرضى الذين لا يعانون من أعراض أو أولئك الذين يعانون من أعراض ولكن تاريخ بداية الأعراض غير واضح.
2.    يتطلب خلال العزل المنزلي أن يبقى المريض في المنزل و تجنب الإتصال بالآخرين. كما يجب على المريض الإلتزام بكافة الإجراءات الإحترازية والإرشادات التوجيهية لضمان حماية أفراد الأسرة حتى إنتهاء فترة العزل البالغ مُدتها 10 يومًا.
3.   مراقبة الأعراض والتحقق المستمر من درجة الحرارة. إذا أصبحت أعراض المريض خطيرة (مثل ضيق التنفس أثناء الراحة أو صعوبة التنفس أو الحمى) ، يجب عليه الإتصال بالخط الساخن التابع لهيئة الصحة بدبي (800342) أو بالإسعاف على الرقم 997. يجب على المريض إبلاغ الخط الساخن بأنه مصاب بفيروس كورونا. -19 ويخضع للعزل المنزلي.
